So this is interesting...I plug my Q10 in today (running 10.1.0.1720, mind you), and I have a "Software Update Available" in BB Link. It's only 285kb, so I say sure, and update.

Lo and behold, WiFi calling appears on the last page of my apps, not sideloaded, nothing. The options are greyed out in the app (I have it on my account - T-Mobile), so I thought it had to be a weird fluke. I delete the app, BB Link says I have a software update available again.

    And it installs WiFi calling.

Can anyone else verify this and is it working for anyone???

Sounds very weird. WiFi calling is supposed to only come with a big OS update I thought.

I thought it was already pushed for those that got the 10.1 MR (mostly Z10 users I think, nothing for my Q available).

Nope, it was a found bar in a leak that has worked on the MR

I too have a Q10 and got a Tmobile update this evening (about 2 meg) 10.1.0.273, installed update and now have a wifi calling app installed but I'm unable to enable the app. It's stuck on disabled (off) with no option to move slider to on, I called Tmobile on 611 but they told me the Q10 doesn't have wifi calling......

Guess we'll just have to wait and see how this unfolds.

I really wanted the 10.2 update for the android app support but at this point I'll take anything.

I'm with a Q10 on TMO USA and got 0.273 ages ago...?

Wait, I take that back. I have 0.273, but am now being offered a 2MB "update" to 0.273 as well. WTH is going on? Should I take this "update"???

I think it's just the wifi app. I see no other differences. sure why not. it might work for you.

Nah, update went fine but app didn't appear. Only thing different is under Network Connections is worded different from before.
Even after restart/ reboot no app, or way to enable wifi calling appears.
Maybe I have to load it via Link I updated ota.

This is PATHETIC. Why is there a release without working increased functionality. Can neither BlackBerry nor T-Mobile do NOTHING right?

OK, I will concede this is more a T-Mobile snafu than a BlackBerry one. It just seems that so much on this platform, including with regards to updates, just doesn't work right. See the countless posts about upgrade disasters, including lost texts, etc. Now this "update" which is likely to continue frustrating BB10 users.

Question about this WiFi calling: will it also allow texts to be sent and received, like true UMA did? In my office, I have almost no network signal, but great WiFi, so either way, this will be great. But texts would be even better.

But it looks like, once it's working, I will be able to do SMS via WiFi in my office - yay!

WiFi Calling, I thought, was supposed to come with the 10.1 MR release (.4xxx) release which some say will be on Tmo early September. The current Tmo release for the Z10 is in my signature below. I checked for updates and received nothing. Since September is soon, I find it a bit hard to believe that Tmo would make an effort to push Wifi Calling before the rest of the MR now.

That being said, haven't some reported getting the WiFi Calling app from upgrading to the MR release Canadian and other country carriers are already pushing?

Well I didn't get the MR. Just a tiny 2mb release still calling itself. 2XX. But it has the app, albeit inoperable.
