I am not on the same OS as you, Windows 8.1 for me but just tonight, I was being prompted by my phone to download Link even though it was already on my laptop. I ended up uninstalling the original Link and rei stalling a new downloaded version. It recognized my phone right away and I am backing up my Z10 right now. So suggest you uninstall and download the latest version of link and reinstall. Hope that helps hou!

Uninstall, reboot, reinstall. Not a BlackBerry issue.
