Which bars control the voice function of blackberry intelligent assistant? I deleted all the sys.data.imf.files except for US and root, but now when I use the voice assistant there are no voice prompts. I left all the nuance files in place. Please help...Thanks

LOL I had that same issue. I figured i could just delete the languages i don't use. Then no voice anymore. I started to reload all back one at a time to see if i could find the one that did it, but it took so long so i stopped. Then i noticed that the two groups of nuance files don't equal each other. and thought it might be one of ones that did;t have a match, but by then i just reloaded the OS. Deezy had listed somewhere that you didn't need any of them, and I didn't pay attention to see if he had skipped removing some specific ones. If anyone does figure it out it would be nice to free up some space.


Correction it was not the sys.imf files as i did delete those as always. It was the nuance.ve and nuance .vocon that stopped the voice for me.

use .common and ones with .enu and .eng extensions for those files if you use English voice

i had left in .common and .eng, but not .enu(what is that one for? as it just looked like any other language file to me)

I have all of those files but its still not working, this is after a hard reset

oh i thought eng was the english file alone. do other languages have multiple files? it might be good to know for others looking to do the same, or is the .eng not english but just a needed file for everyone. Just asking , thanks for the help though i will make some room later.

I don't know about the other languages, the .eng is used for English UK (there's selection of US or UK in the BB assistant option)

Enu is English US

Thanks clie610, Had the wrong bar file loaded. used ENG and needed Enu. Have it working now.
