The more success they encounter, the more money they get, the more possibilities for more technology / software

QNX Hypervisor. They must be going somewhere with that. What machine are they thinking of loading it on. The Playbook is in a round about way a desktop OS.

Where's the value in a desktop OS? This question seems to pop up like a Whack-A-Mole every couple of months, but it still makes no sense.

BlackBerry has a hard enough time drawing developers to its current platforms so now you want them to split their focus again to an area they have no experience in, and where gaining developer support would be even more difficult? Also, more and more work is being done away from the desktop to mobile devices.

BlackBerry has been a mobility technology company since its inception. Anything outside of its handsets, embedded systems, and security services shouldn't be invested in unless there is a compelling advantage that BlackBerry can offer. The desktop arena isn't this, especially as the operating system is becoming less and less of a factor.

I suppose anyways, BlackBerry's not gonna make a desktop version since its QNX is already movin towards the edge! If so its a QNX of desktop version then thats a popcorn moment!!!

You're probably thinking of Neutrino. http://www.qnx.com/products/neutrino...rino-rtos.html

It is desktop QNX but definitely not desktop BB OS 10
