I just found out, the reading mode in the browser now even has Text to Speech (TTS) it's pretty decent too.

I have to say BB10 browser is the best out there, iPhone and my wife's note4 don't even come close to ease of use and speed.

I hope BB10 browser makes it to the Slider for the Android world to see how good it is.

A suggestion - high time it comes with its own brand name like "safari" "chrome" etc..

I'm surprised there is another person out there that has read the "About" in the browser lol

I was a little shocked when I read it to be honest but you know what, if it works, I'm happy.

It's better than than the native Apple browser for sure, but other than BlackSafari, IDK what you could call it.

All browsers based on Webkit would have the same text in them somewhere. That doesn't mean Apple is solely responsible for the good, or the bad things in the BB10 browser, just that the open source Webkit project provided the base code. BlackBerry has been using Webkit as the basis of their browser since BBOS 6.

As Richard said, many popular browsers use WebKit Base but improve on that, APPLE had to open source WebKit since it was built on KDE Konqueror, which was my fav back in 2003

That being said BB10 browser has been awesome for me, unparalleled to a point I sometimes prefer this to bloated desktop browsers..

    Suggested names
    HyperBlack
    HyperGate
    Transport

    Meh I'm bad with names..

TTS is awesome. I've found myself using it more that I would've imagined when using 'reader mode'.

But for general Web browsing, I use Browsie because of ad-blocking.

I wish Apple would update my browser. Last dare listed was 2012 and it's 2016 now. For the cry eye.

I've had this problem before 10.3.2.2876 was installed.

Whenever the Reader mode's Text To Speech feature doesn't work, try switching your language from English (US) to English (UK).

(Settings, Language and Input, Display Language)

Sometimes I can get TTS working again by switching language from US to UK and then back again. Sometimes just leaving the language as English US and a reboot fixes TTS.

    Good luck.

Anyone can port it to the Priv because the BB10 browser is open source.
