Will Blend be available for download to our computers after the release of the Passport? Any thoughts?

I hope so. Looks to me like Blend is going to give us a way to run bb on any tablet or computer and no longer need a PlayBook.

Can't wait to try it out!

I'm thinking that it'll be available either right at launch or shortly there after. If JC was smart he'd open it up immediately to see how many people are running a leaked 10.3

Whenever you load an OS for the first time, it validates your device against Blackberry server. If you don't have internet access, it gives you a small timeframe to complete this setup. This validation sends all details about your device and the firmware you installed.
the only way they wouldnt know you used 10.3 is if you 'upgraded' to it using Sachesi / turned internet off.

So yeah they have a pretty good idea how many people use it.

Yes, but your device once updated to 10.3 will prompt install of Blend anyway.. so it's likely it will be made widely available when 10.3.1 is made available, so exclusive to Passport for a little bit which is good for Passport

So true it's unbelievable and kind of hilarious, we're more helpful than most of their tech support and constantly evolving around rumours. Just imagine what we could do if we actually got real info instead! :O xD
