How are you all doing the update? I'm thinking that you are using Sachesi

    Posted via CB10
Nope. As I stated earlier, I did a standard update via BlackBerry Link from an official 10.2.1 to my carrier's official 10.3.1.

You experience confirms a suspicion I had earlier. I think this problem crops up when you have installed at least one app that registers itself as a Browser provider. For some reason BB Assistant seems to assume you only have the default Browser installed and doesn't handle it gracefully when there is more than one to choose from.

Z30. Running 10.3.1 for two days without problems. Today I downloaded "Opera mini browser" from Amazon played with it but decided to delete since it didn't do anything better than BlackBerry browser. Also downloaded and deleted "Home Screen Plus" (didn't work at all).
After that, I started getting the "can not find browser " message from assistant .
One of the two must have caused the problem.
I did a security wipe, a 49 mb update ( over the air when prompted) and full restore from a backup of 2 days ago through link and it is all fixed now.

    From my Z30.

My BlackBerry Assistant went berserk! When I ask it to launch calendar, even though it confirms "launch calendar", it launches "calculator"! Lol

    Anyone had that?

I'll reboot later to see if it solves

I went from latest Rogers OS to 10.3.1 on myZ30 and had similar issues. Couldn't find anything really. A few reboots and power off then back on fixed her up. All in all its still Little clunky so I'm considering a fresh install.

Assistant can't find any apps. If you try to type in it too it doesn't provide a list of any apps on the phone.

I had the same problems with the assistant and a few other issues.

I know it is pain in the **** but I did a full security wipe and started from scratch. Boy was it worth the hassle. I backed everything up just in case but didn't restore the back up after the wipe. I just re installed all the apps and changed my settings back. It took a while but everything is back to normal with a few extra benefits.

I now have 6gb of free space instead of 1.5gb.

I got rid of a ton of apps that I never used.

All the bad capitulation and wrongly spelled words are now gone from my auto correct library.

Best of all, everything is super smooth and snappy.

Highly recommend doing a clean install.

Restoring using link from backup, except settings, would work. It's the only way that seems to work.

Personally, if I were having problems, I would just be patient and wait for a fixe from BlackBerry. How often do you use assistant?

    So custom backup, restore.

Not custom backup, wipe, reinstall 10.3, restore??

How about installing a working .bar or older version that works?

Don't try the bar from older versions... I think people tried and they can't figure which one

Full back up with link, wipe, custom restore (without settings).

I tried that a few times and it works (using my backup Z10)

    Hi folks,

I just upgraded my Q10 to 10.3.1 and when I use Blackberry Assistant to search something on Google or go to a URL it says "Unable to find browser for your device." Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have advice on how to fix it? Thanks!
Yes OMG I am having same issue!!! So frustrated !

I had this problem and this is what fixed it for me:

I upgraded my Q10 ( Q10SQN100-4/10.3.1.2267 ) to 10.3.1 via Sachesi (non-destructive) using the Rogers release. All was fine except for VA's inability to locate my apps. Being on a Q10 this was a big deal.

EDIT: the changing of the device language did not fix the issue for me either.

I decided to attempt a wipe in hopes it would fix this issue and possibly answer another question I had. I was reluctant to go this route but battery pulls and resets didn't fix (forced re-indexing) the problem.

The wipe fixed the issue with the VA not finding my apps. I will note that I did not restore from a backup - all of my important things are sync'd.

Ultimately I did use an autoloader for a fresh clean install as I felt 10.3.1 was sitting on top of my previous install. The VA was still able to find my apps after this install as well.
