BlackBerry Assistant is really bad at mapping for me

I hope it's because I am using a leak for my Z30. I am using 10.3.1.747. I used it to voice command a search for a FedEx. It kept giving me results from all over the country instead of nearby me. Even other things I searched it did not sort them by closest to my location. It is also bad at getting results for sports. I am avoiding it for now. Please tell me that it is better in the full release. The phone rocks every where else. I am using Scout Maps (Amazon Store) for local search and mapping needs for now and am very happy.

Do you have location turned on?

It is extremely slow and buggy on my Z10 as well but I am also using a much older 10.3.1 than what is currently out there. You should try updating your OS to see if its better...that or wait for others to chime in

Can't tell you if the official will be as bad for you. It's not out yet, LoL.

I can tell you it works fine here. As suggested above, check your location settings.

You know something. I think I am having GPS issues still. I was hoping yesterday was just a fluke case. It kept going out. Today, I did not navigate anywhere, but I was in the same area that it was failing me yesterday. It could be that because it works fine in my office. The weird thing is that Scout knew where I was. I felt helpless for a moment today because I had to find a FedEx on the road, and normally, I would just pull it up from Google maps. So far Scout has been very reliable, though I hate the load time to start it. I really hope BlackBerry Assistant and BB Maps can really improve during the course of this year. It's going to be a sticking point for a lot of people. I want to feel like I have a search and navigate tool at the tip of my fingers, for peace of mind.

BlackBerry Assistant really does show promise. It is just not great at anything. The speed is extremely slow. Again, I am sure it is in Beta.

It is Official for 10.3 on the Passport and Porsche phones. I was hoping those had a little better success. Maybe it's just a bad day. I will see.

You should be able to verify that your location services are working properly, by logging into http://protect.blackberry.com and selecting "View Location"

I use a Z10 and find the assistant to work more accurately after I added my home and work addresses in the Location settings..fyi

For me it works perfectly it is just slower than the competition and has less features. But so far on 1154 it works good and gets what I'm saying all the time.

Hopefully they are watching what Google now is doing for the Internet and Cortana is doing for the complex questions

Overall it needs to be faster!!!

For England and USA it's pretty good. I hope for France /Italy we could have all the options (like movies or sport).
