Not going to happen, I think Blackberry has already made up their mind and are going the direction of Android as their primary OS. Look at Microsoft, they have spent a small fortune on the Windows mobile platform and it's going the same negative direction as OS10 in the current market.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that BlackBerry will make a great comback in 2018 with BlackBerry 12 OS running Android apps on there own operating system with advanced swipe gesture system and a much improved Hub for non stop productivity and of course Google Play services and all its glory..

Samsung and LG have there own Apps stores aside from the Google play store, I think BlackBerry can have their own android app store (BB12) with apps specifically for there phones and have Google play as a primary app store..

Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Let's remember the poor ecosystem(s) for BlackBerry Legacy (stop-gap) devices that continued into BB10 devices. Low smartphone sales mean very low app sales. That was one of the reasons DEVs started leaving. So, IMO, that's an additional headache that BlackBerry doesn't need.

I think it is impossible because if the BB12 is combined with android, no one will buy BlackBerry Priv, because we can got the same features on the original BlackBerry 10 phone

How can Jolla run android apps perfectly with much crappier specs than BlackBerry 10 smartphones? It also supports Google Play Services.

I think you mean: "I have Jolla and I subsequently installed unauthorized, unofficial Google Play Store and Services on it myself."

Jolla is based on Linux as is Android - they are much closer than BB10, which is based on QNX.

Even on BlackBerry 10, people install it unofficially! Doesn't matter, my question was, why does Jolla run android apps much better than a better spec'd BlackBerry 10 smartphone.
Is Sailfish being based on Linux, the real reason?

Jolla just has a newer better version of ART that's all. It would be cool if we could get a Jolla port for the passport though.

BlackBerry has sold his soul already.

I think I'll buy something like BLACK device. Android is the base but completely secured. Or get an HTC with double boot.

Won't buy "minded in China " I already wear my Nike here and then
