I got a $3,000 Macbook Pro with Snow Leopard and Mavericks, both OS' have encyrption enabled on there. And I also bough a Windows Laptop with a Trusted Platform Module, so I got the best Windows encyrption as well. I've been with Blackberry since I was 17 years old because I want the encyption, it is number one, and nothing else is number one. But honestly, I bought the Z30 and expected to be wowed. I wasn't. I kind of like OS 7 better because it was more organized to click and manage with my mind, you know in my head it felt more organized. And also there is some retar ded features in Blackberry 10 that I think are not so speedy. Will they come out with Blackberry 11 OS soon? Think they need to, to turn this OS family around.
Hope your computers have spell checkers on them before you send out a resume.

Sounds like personal preferences to me. Both had pages of icons that could be grouped into folders and rearranged.

Both also had a tap-able banner / slide down options that could store frequently used commands. (bb10 even allowing customizing far beyond bb7 in the latest release).

Old habits die hard. It's the same with anyone moving to a new platform. Once you see the efficiencies of the new platform you'll come around.

Btw have you used Win8? The same argument could be made there with Win7 comparison.

Why do you care, and why are you bothering to annoy us on Crackberry with your bold proclamations? You have your Apple stuff - to each his own. Go enjoy your iOS7.

Calm down! He hasn't wrote anything about ios - he wrote OS 7 as in BlackBerry OS 7.

@OP: Which things are you missing? Did you install 10.2.1?

@xxspirit4musicxx My apologies! I read it quickly and considered it another complaint from a person who had moved on but still wanted to take a jab at what I consider to be a very productive OS. I should have looked more closely and been more kind.

It's a year since BB10 came out, has anyone heard when BB11 OS will come out?
Last time I checked we are only at version 10.2 which means there is a long way between 10.2 and 11.0...10.3, 10.4,..., 10.99 if we assume minor version runs from 0 through 99. Why would BlackBerry release BlackBerry OS 11 for BlackBerry 10 smartphones? You are part of the on-going problem...always demanding "the next big thing." Did you realize the Linux kernel, for example, takes years before the major version number is incremented? It was version 0.99 for quite a while before Linux decided it was ready for 1.0. Now I am not comparing the development cycle of the Linux kernel to the full BlackBerry OS 10 operating system but you get the idea.

By the way, this is the primary reason I was against BlackBerry using a version number for its next generation operating system and smartphones. A much better naming scheme would have been:

    BlackBerry Smartphone:
    Family Type
    T All-touch
    K Physical Keyboard (QWERTY, ZVORAK)
    O Slider (basically a two-sided smartphone with all-touch on one side and physical keyboard with screen on the other side;
flip screen cover for the side not currently in use; non-removable battery; thickness not to exceed that of Z series)

    BlackBerry OS Version:
    Generation Name
    0.1 (Alpha) γ (Euler-Mascheroni constant) 0.577 215 664 901 532 860 606 512
    0.2 (Beta) φ (Inverse golden ratio) 0.618 033 988 749 894 848 204 58
    1 √2 (Pythagora's constant) 1.414 213 562 373 095 048 801 688
    2 e (Euler number, Napier's constant) 2.718 281 828 459 045 235 360 287
    3 π (Archimedes' constant) 3.141 592 653 589 793 238 462 643

There are probably other ratios or constants mathematicians have discovered or created to address Generation 4 and beyond.

To name the operating system version use the mathematical symbol; the minor and build numbers are not relevant to end-users but these would show-up in the Device Information screen.
