Hey everyone, I was wondering if the Z10 has a password keeper like the previous bboses that have?
I have a lot of passwords and currently use it a lot on my curve.

Thank you all so much for your help and cooperation

Yes, but as a separate download from BlackBerry World. The data migration tool brings your old data across.

Currently BlackBerry Link doesn't support selective data restore or transfer. So to get my password from an old berry, I had transfer everything over, including policies, which forced me to set a device password on my BB10.

You can easily backup your password keeper data on a legacy BlackBerry device to the sdcard and pop it into the Z10 to transfer the data. No need for Link or Desktop software at all.

There's a better app out there called stokLocker. It's a native app with a lot more features including the ability to graphically represent your data and hold other data besides just passwords.

There are a couple of other big ones as well but they look like Android ports, useful I guess for those coming to BlackBerry from other platforms but why buy a BlackBerry just to run apps that look like everyone else's phone.

I've mostly switched to Last Pass, personally. Android port only for now, and expensive for mobile access, but keeps things synced across browsers, PlayBook and Z10. When I'm feeling industrious sometime, I'll probably give keepass a try, synced via Box or something.

On your old BlackBerry just type "Device Switch". Universal search should find the application. Launch the app and follow the directions to save all of your device application data to the sdcard.

Plug the sdcard into your Z10 and under the hit the "Setup" icon from the home screen. Pick "Device Switch" and follow the prompts.

Note: it is probably easier if you download password keeper from BlackBerry World first.

There's an easier way. If you have previously backed up your data using Blackberry Desktop, Blackberry Link has it stored as Legacy Back-up. You can do a restore from there. When you open PK you simply import your old data and then it will be populated automatically. You need to set-up PK on your Z10 before restoring the data ;-)

Plugging into a PC and using that God-awful train wreck piece of **** software called BlackBerry Link or Desktop Manager is never easier....

The sdcard method is stupid simple.

Did you try just doing the universal search? On my BlackBerry I just started typing "Device Switch" from the home screen. What OS are you on?

Yeah I did but nothing. Maybe because I was using a leaked OS. But never mind, I just find that the reason for me to need restore password from an old device is fixed with th latest OS update. No need for that anymore. Thanks for all the helps though.

I have tried the Stoklocker app,
Nice but misses the copy paste function for inserting your saved password into your password protected app.

You need to have BBOS 7 on your old BB to use the media card to transfer data.

Millions of dollars in research and development never made it to Password Keeper.

Use Enpass instead or something else.

Keepass works well for me. Also has a PC version.

It also has easy copy and paste of passwords. I never did like the blackberry equivalent, since there was no way to use it other than on blackberry.
