Can anyone help. Is it possible to have an icon for your emails on the home screen of the new blackberry 10.
I can read them from the hub, but would like an icon????

There is no need for an icon. That is what the hub is for which can be peeked at.

Why would you want an icon? You can quickly get to any email, text, BBM, LinkedIn, Twitter or FB message from the hub from any application. You need to forget the old "open & close" restrictions of the past and embrace the the future dude. :-)

An icon would be nice so that you could swipe up an email into an active frame. Better multi tasking. I wish you could swipe up an email from the hub into an active frame and have the hub default back to the beginning.

But if you swipe right, out of your hub, while in an email, it stays open in the hub.
Basically doing what you want it to do!

In fact, all the text message icon does is open the hub, waste of space if you ask me!

Ok, but if I get another message while multitasking, i have to back out of that email.

So you want the ability to open 2 emails simultaneously?

No, it's a good idea, but not sure how it would be implemented in the hub. 2 apps would be messy and possibly confusing...

thats why i separated my BBM from hub, and always have a BBM active frame running. to minimize this scenario and maximize multitasking
