I just saw on html5test.com that the Blackberry 10.1 browser is the most HTML5 compliant one available at 485 out of 500 points. Way better than iOS 6 at 386 points and Android 4 at 297 points.

Why does Blackberry not shout this all over the place?

Compliant is the key word. It doesnt get you a better experience necessarily. Look at the PlayBook which also had the leading rank for much of its existence.

It's higher than the desktop browsers too which is ridiculous.

Html5test doesn't really test if a browser implements a feature, it simply asks the browser "do you implement this feature?"
It's obvious that BB developers fibbed a lot when they marked features as available. Scoring higher than desktop browsers was a dead giveaway. It a number of other tests, BB10 is shown to be worse in compliance compared with some mobile browsers.

Check out this thread where other tests are done by cb posters.

I guess. But there is some truth in that, the browser was still able to pass the old school acid tests. There's some browsers that still haven't. But I can see where the compliance could be different because of way smartphones do input and delivery.
