And honestly, that's the only part that is troubling.
No one really thinks that the update to 10.3.3 will be meaningful in any way.
It's the lack of communication and feeling like the customers are not to be taken seriously.
Since they announced 'August', then they should come out and apologize for the delay and say that it would be some more time needed. Simple as that.
But the lack of communication and lack of acknowledgement is what seems odd.

Perhaps they HAVE communicated and/or apologised to those clients actually waiting for NIAP.

Wow, if any political campaign is hiring an apologist... lol

They announced it on the Inside BlackBerry Blog as shown in the OP.
They didn't announce it secretly "to those clients actually waiting for NIAP" and they didn't mention NIAP at all. They just posted in July about the update known as 10.3.3 coming in August.

Would it not then be logical to 'communicate and/or apologize' there as well since the audience they originally targeted was whoever would read the blog lol

If 10.3.3 were released it would be on the front page of CrackBerry.

They're not always fast with posting important articles.
But yeah, 1 person claiming it's been released is not very trustworthy. If he had at least posted a screenshot of the update message I'd be more inclined to believe it. But even then I'd find it pretty strange that they'd choose India to start the rollout.

Dtek50 has not been launched in India yet. Bb10s still hav brand loyalty here.
In fact dtek50 is being imported & is selling for roughly 450 US$s.

I know all of that already. But usually BlackBerry doesn't choose India first for rolling out updates, they usually choose the USA, then Canada, then Europe, then other countries. So it'd be weird if they'd choose India now, that all I'm saying.

And honestly, it's not what is in the update.

What is really at stake is communication as stated above and knowing
that Blackberry is still supporting BB10 to some degree. They have been
dancing around whether they will produce a new bb10 phone as well as dancing
    around current bb10 support.

We know there have been layoffs. Do those layoffs include engineers who could successfully make
meaningful updates to the OS or not? I'm not talking about a certificate bundle update, I'm talking about
    kernel updates needed.

We all know BB10 is a platform that is being wound down.

Yes, they will continue to throw us a few more bones, but we're wasting our energy complaining about the flavour.

Are you including yourself in the group complaining? You could say "you all are wasting your time" and it would be better received based on the tone throughout. After all, we complainers are just wasting our time since the _real_ update to 10.3.3 was never meant for us, right?

Chen and others in the company have not said "move on" when asked pointed questions on what to expect with the bb10 platform, both os and handsets. Indeed, it feels like the Playbook all over again.
