They meant to say "Octember."

I do find it curious clearance is taking so long. Such should really not be so complex. Other systems do apparently take as much time.

Given a knowledgeable and responsive sponsor, able to quickly answer the evaluators questions and keep the process moving, I've heard of certifications being awarded relatively quickly.
I doubt the evaluator is who people should be pointing the finger at over the delay... just sayin' ;)
Did they ever actually say October? IIRC Chen originally said March, then he said June, then right at the end of June / start of July he said "next month" which was interpreted to mean July and then August. But that was the last time, as far as I can recall, that any actual kind of month / deadline was officially mentioned.
Since then it's just been us hoping for September, then hoping for October. I think the only official word now is "soon".
Heh-heh, I think " soon" might prove to be optimistic.
IIRC, The last official word was "we're in the final stages..." and no indication of a timeline was given. ;)
BlackBerry have been burnt in the past by giving a specific month for a release date so they have now opted for "Soon" which does not limit that date. Sigh.

OMG I can't help but laugh at this stage.
Blackberry have been burnt in the past trying to narrow it down to a specific month.
There's only 75 days left for them to have even got the year correct.
Dear oh dear...
Still on last stage niap https://mobile.twitter.com/BlackBerr...01304992301056
In the year 2016 plus or minus 12 months.. thats what they said.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 was on that in evaluation list until recently so that might mean Samsung was as slow as BlackBerry or CSE is just not that fast.

Did Samsung and BlackBerry put their phones in for evaluation at the same time?
Unlikely as BB originally were aiming for completion in March; and the S7 wasn't even released until mid-March. So it appears that Samsung, at least, hasn't encountered undue delay in the process. ;)
Difference is : samsung only put one phone to certification, and not at the same company.
BlackBerry is certifying its entire float of devices and the OS.

Finally the mess of BlackBerry releasing 10.3.3 has come to an end.. May be everyone in here are really fed up of it...
Posted via My Lovely Z30
Why do you say it has come to an end?
Have they released 10.3.3?
Nope I mean.. Every one are fed up waiting for it to release. No one so eager for it to launch.

Looks like we are going to need a November 10.3.3 thread soon!!

December 31 2016 at 23:59.59 for sure.

March -- June -- August - 'In The Final Stages' - November?
Posted Via BlackBerry Noble OS 10.3.3
Obviously... Maybe even it continues to December...

Now you're just being hopelessly optimistic! ;)
I reckon 2016 will pass without any sign of 10.3.3 arriving, and probably 2017 too! ;)
As another poster has correctly said, so far BB's "commitment" to BB10 is merely words without deeds (Playbook redux?). And talk is cheap!
I agree... use "soon" for new thread ... It's better don't start new thread for these 2 month...
I really understand...if they publish 10.3.3 even late...dont need to update it soon ....they can release 10.4 very very late....bb buy time for himself:\ wonderful.....
Guys, it's gonna be a Christmas present...just wait and be patient.
