John said that 10.4 will be push one year later after 10.3.3. So I can assume he is buying more time and let the android phones and the new partnerships take over. By then BB10 will be outdated and he can make announcement not to need it anymore.

Totally agree! The OS never failed, the marketing failed. I'm 100% sure that we would've had a lot more users if proper marketing was done. A lot of people didn't know about BB10 and those who did were stuck with an image of older BlackBerry's, not knowing that BlackBerry was still doing business or that BB10 (phones) is totally different from all of the older BlackBerry's.
In order to grow, people must know about its existence. Sure, it wouldn't have ever overtaken Android's marketshare but it could've been the third biggest OS (or second, given that iOS is losing lots of marketshare now).

As fellow forum member Richard Buckley explained yesterday, QNX has nothing to do with BlackBerry other than BB10 being built on top of it. So Chen isn't looking at QNX.

I did that by comparing the API change list with those I'm using. But it was clear from the documentation that it was an irreversible update which would take upgraded devices out of service to support 10.3.2.

Correction. He said 10.3.4 was coming after 10.3.3.

There has never been any official talk of 10.4.
