BlackBerry 10.3.1, the Canadian smartphone maker’s next major software update, will rollout to all BB10 devices on Thursday, February 19, a new report claims.

OS 10.3.1, which made its public debut on the BlackBerry Passport last September, is arguably the biggest update since BlackBerry’s initial BB10 launch. Not only does it bring a whole host of new features, but also a refreshed design and all kinds of great improvements.

Highlights include notification profiles, better control over Exchange contact syncing, customizable hotkey shortcuts, battery saving mode, the ability to hide pictures and videos, and an option to allow or deny apps permission to run in the background when minimized.

Those with a Q10 or a Q5 will also appreciate OS 10.3.1′s new look the most, thanks to its smaller home screen icons and fonts, which allows more apps to be displayed on individual home screens.

BlackBerry fans have been eagerly awaiting this release for a long time, and according to*N4BB,*the wait is almost over.

“We have exclusively learned the global rollout of OS 10.3.1 to all current in-market BB10 devices will be on February 19th,” the site claims. “Apparently, the rollout was supposed to have happened yesterday. However, BlackBerry had issues with the update accidentally wiping the entire device.”

Until this is confirmed by BlackBerry, it’s probably best you don’t get your hopes up too much. The company has been promising a February release, however, so you should be running 10.3.1 within the next few weeks either way.

N4BB claimed to have it learned 'exclusively' too. But I'm just going to go by what BlackBerry have said.

Take a look at the first part of this article:
From the Editor's Desk: Classic, 10.3.1, CES, MWC and more! | CrackBerry.com
Sometime this month we can expect the official roll-out to begin, based on current official info. (Although there are many unsubstantiated rumours floating about.) Some carriers will be quicker than others.
Please discuss the latest rumour here: http://forums.crackberry.com/news-ru...rumour-995645/
As we have too many threads discussing this already, thread closed.
