I am new to 10.3.1. Where is the half hour line in the Calendar Day view? It only shows the hours. What if I have a 4:30 appointment...do I REALLY have to select 4 and then manually move it to 4:30 once I get into the 'Add' section??

    Question:

Does this Calendar have the same actual functions and just the graphics are different, or does this older "bar style" calendar have less functions than the current new one?

It seems to have the same functionality as the one from 10.3.1.

Still the bars are better than Angry Birds dots.
Still wonder if 10.3.0 calendar has less functions than 10.3.1, because looks isn't everything.
    I never had 10.3.0 loaded I went from 10.2.2 to 10.3.1.

So you want to ADD something at 4:30 on the day view? Here's the sequence:
    Your Week View

    BlackBerry 10.3.1 Calendar is Disastrous!-img_20150318_223717.png

TAP the "4 - 5" box and you'll get this

    BlackBerry 10.3.1 Calendar is Disastrous!-img_20150318_223734.png

TAP that "+" icon now and you'll get this

    BlackBerry 10.3.1 Calendar is Disastrous!-img_20150318_223747.png

Now TAP the "4:00p.m. - 5:00pm" line and you'll get this, which you simply use the time slider at the top to adjust start/stop by sliding the the timeline left/right

I completely agree, at least for my use scenario (I admit that the dots are good for those who have very occasional appointments).

I know meeting mode is new in 10.3.0, and I love this feature. No need to worry about manually silencing my phone, but if the meeting runs long then I need to double tap the Notifications mode icon quickly before the set end time, or change the end time.

What 10.3.1 features are you interested in retaining?

So fluid, so fresh and so clean. I could clearly see how many events you has in a day without actually clicking into the day!

Can you please share the bars?

    Thanks

Could you share the bars and the way you did this?

Also have you tried this with the 10.2.1 bars?

Thank you so much for sharing this. Knowing that there is a way of getting at least the bars back is making me feel less desperate with this calendar.

I agree.. it also clearly defines past days (faded numbers) for quick glance of knowing where you are in the month and what areas you are free.

Looking forward to the bars... or, i'll have a go at extracting them myself (and post if successful)

I don't know how to share the bar file. These are the bars that are needed.
Calendar - 10.300.0.xxxx (This is the main bar needed)
    Ics - 10.300.0.xxxx
    Nav - 10.300.0.xxxx
I had OS 10.3.0.310 handy. I think these bars from ANY 10.3.0 will work.
Calendar - 10.102.2.xxxx will not work.

Thank you for this, I will try it. Does it load faster as well? I've noticed on my Z30 on 10.3.1.2582 that the calendar is really slow to load everything which can get annoying when you use it so often each day.

Updated Z30 from 10.2.1 last night. Oh god.

So many little things wrong with it like the time being slightly off-center on the lock screen.

I think when my new computer comes, probably Monday, I'll have to make a 10.2.2 autoloader.

I cannot even see the monthly calendar on this 10.3.1. It is angry fruit salad because work and personal are together with multihued squares and circles.

Could you explain how to get these? I'm sorry about these Newby questions.

Unless I'm missing something, my gripe is making an entry. The month, day, time wheels are okay but sometimes I just need to enter the date and time. I don't see a way to do that.

You can extract them from a downloaded OS update with a program called Sachesi.

Hmm. You might have to get an answer from someone more knowledgeable. I know when you download the debrick/core/radio files you can use Sachesi to extract and load individual apps. I've never tried it from an autoloader. I'm looking at Sachesi now and it looks like you would use the extract tab, extract signed to split the autoloader, then extract apps from the resulting bar files. Grab the app you want and use the install tab to put it on the phone (assuming you previously deleted the app).
