A tad late for me to be joining this conversation.. so I've not yet fully read the responses!

My sentiments 100%. This style of calendar in 10.3.1 is a TOTAL failure in my eyes. Had it not been for the other great features of 10.3.1 I would downgrade to 10.2 variant.

If only I could get the best of both worlds!

Please, please BlackBerry I do hope you are reading this and make an effort to rectify this disappointment of a calendar!

I too have left my comments. I do hope BlackBerry devs take note and do something about what we it's customers do not like.

I do agree that some people may like the new look, but for the ones that don't, how about a choice! Give us the option to change back to the one we like and felt worked.. which is the 10.2.1 variant (with growing numbers / lines).

Bingo / all bold affair UI is NOT the way forward.

That's pretty much what I meant by "UI". Plus, the font in the monthly view which shows all the days in bold, even those in the prior and next month. And, not to mention, the ugly giant green circle!

That giant circle always reminds me of iPhone. But, I'm sure we can deal with this. As long as they fix that farting calendar.

I'll tweet Michael Clewley after we get the low notification volume issue settled. That one is more of a dealbreaker because there is no way to retrain one's ear, or maybe that's just age catching up to me!

Then let's disrupt the situation and make our selves very visible. I personally will not stop maaking a buzz about this disfunctional calendar until either BBRY fixes it or BBRY provides a very rational reason why they had to remove growing numbers and the vertical side bars.

And as someone pointed out in the Beta Zone, for the 1st time in X yrs of being a BBRY user, I tried avoiding that Bingo-ish calendar.

As my March schedule is about to get full, going through this new Calendar becomes more and more inefficient. I'm few klicks away of going back to 10.2 just to get a functional calendar - again, pertaining to the growing numbers and. vertical sidebars.

Yeah, I hope BlackBerry brings back the original 10.2 calendar with the side bars and the numbers that grow with the number of appoint.ents. The dots on the 10.3 calendar are useless.

I'm so happy that so many people are taking issue with this. Maybe BlackBerry will finally see that it's something that should be fixed.

It's amazing how much more cluttered the 10.3.1 Calendar is despite their efforts to go flat and simplify.

Just shows how thoughtful the 10.2.1 Calendar design was.

I meant to say that the bug I found is that the same periods taken at different times don't show the same info. Note the first shot showed the month and year whilst the other one just showed the year.

I have not got the update yet for my Z30, and even when I can get it I'm not sure I can live with the "Bingo Board" Calendar... loaded a leak on a spare Z10 to evaluate and I don't know if the pro's outweigh this huge con... but that's me...

Logic? Aren't you expecting too much? There are many posts that say BlackBerry fans are unreasonable and expect too much! :-)

I guess it depends on how much you relay on the calendar.

I relay on it alot, so this is a BIG setback for me.

Might even be a good idea to introduce different kinds of calendar presets for different types of use cases/professions where I can adjust my views.
Taking away stuff can help too, unfortunately it really went wrong when I look at the month view.
Month view should be considered a quick _overview_ - as clean as possible. No bulk. But that's what it looks like.. bulky.
For details you can always drill down...

I always wonder why they try to squeeze the one-and-only-perfect feature/view in there,
when it's so obvious that people do have such different approaches to how stuff works for them.
