Amazing how many people, including me complained, how many threads have been started about this. If they still haven't heard that voice yet, then I must assume that they really don't care.

I am not being unreasonable here

They can even keep the new calendar look, bust just add the vertical bar somehow, like the 10.3 calendar.

    Posted via CB10
Yes, keep the new look, but bring back the vertical bars and growing numbers.

Gosh, the 10.2.1 Calendar app is just beyond lovely. I'm on a brand new Q10 running 10.2.1 and I had forgotten how great it actually is. Everything is just so easy to grasp.

The only thing I like about the new calendar app is the weekly agenda view, but that should be toggled in the settings. Because during busy weeks, that could get messy.

Right! In fact, I still see the 10.3 UI as messy! My schedule is quite messy, and having a messy Calendar will make everything messier! The best thing with the 10.2 Calendar was it does what it has to do - make my schedule a little bit un-messier.

It's not bad at all, and yes, we could get used to it (besides, that's your opinion). But getting used to something not efficient especially for a business tool is something that I cannot be complacent about and JUST get used to.

How about a "not dumb question"?

How about BlackBerry pulls their head out, shows up on this thread, apologizes and fixes the calendar?

    Your move, BlackBerry.

Same question actually. And to add, will that even be allowed or possible? If yes, next question is, will we get an update in case BlackBerry decides to work on this Calendar fiasco.

In one of the other calendar threads a dev had written that the 10.2.x calendar's bar files needed to be signed by BlackBerry for them to work on 10.3.x

So not possible on the user end.
    **************

TAT did a superb job with the original BB10 UI, UX flow and interaction. 10.3 makes me appreciate TAT's work much more. Then they were let go (the core TAT team) and ???

10.3.1 seems like BlackBerry outsourced the UI etc to a bunch interns with only MS Paint to their disposal!

They didn't let go tat, the leaders started a new company called TOPP and rerecruited tat members. The members that are left are now BlackBerry Sweden and they are working under the bbm founder.

On the other hand the UI does look better (calendar is the exception) but is inconsistent and glitchy at times.

So then this means we can load the browser bar file from 10.3 if we want flash back?

Can the 10.3.0 calendar be sideloaded over the 10.3.1 version? It at least had the vertical bars.

What's odd is that the BB10 Calendar app went from being the best digital calendar I've ever used (10.2.1, and that includes desktop calendars to a degree) to being quite literally the worst digital calendar I've ever used on any platform (in 10.3.1)

    How does that even happen?

Curious Question to those using the 10.3 calendar.

If BB gave us back the 10.2 Month view with growing numbers, color bars scheme....... and kept everything else 10.3. Could you adapt. Would you be happy enough about the changes? I think I might but I don't use 10.3
Probably not. I really dislike the pasty flat look and the lack of icon backgrounds. I've been ignoring the update notifications. Hopefully they just go away.

The latest announcements about Hub, Calendar etc going cross platform might be the reason for the flattened UI - trying to fit in with iOS and Android.

So they might be experimenting with various layouts, colour schemes etc.

Still 10.2.1 Calendar with 10.3.1 (or iOS, Lollipop) colours would work better and more efficiently. But that's just my $0.02 ;-)

I'm so missing this calendar. I'm really having a hard time working with this new UI/functionality. Will give this another week or two and if there's no option, or at least confirmed response from Blackberry, that we can get back the previous calendar - again, particularly the growing numbers & vertical sidebars - I will most likely go back to OS 10.2.

well they do have tons of 3rd party calendars that work as native ones.

and take a look at this, notice the elephant in the room
    Attachment 337388
Notice how the appointments for July are showing up in iOS and Android and not for BlackBerry.
They haven't fixed that issue since they released OS 10.
Also notice how Big the numbers are for the dates compared to the calendars for the other phones and the 10.2. calendar.
It's a mess and no amount of arguing and complaining is going to fix it.
