Ever since I have installed blackberry 10.2.1.3442 on my q10 I have been having issues with my battery life. Not only does the battery drain very fast, but my blackberry powers down when the battery is around 13 percent. It appears that the system is the culprit. Also, I am running the following android apps through snap: yahoo fantasy sports, espn fantasy hockey, NHL, westlaw, and logmein. Can someone please help me with this issue?

You may want to try a fresh install. Also, sometimes when upgrading to a new branch of BB10, the settings that are restored tend to make things quirky... Me personally, I'm just shocked that there are people still on 10.2. The latest leaks are phenomenal

    • When did you update to this last release ?
    • How is your battery ? No bump or leak ?
    • Check the battery connectors, use an eraser pen on it.
    • Did your phone reboot on impact ?
    • Did your phone heat a lot or did you live in a hot environment ?
    • Did you move a lot ? (I mean driving, subway, ...)
    • What's your default network ? (Wi-Fi, 4G/LTE, 3G,...)

And of course, check this thread, read the advices and reset the battery estimated time. The shutdown, when the battery seems not totally drained, tells me you used to charge your phone, play with it at the same time and probably never let the battery down before charging again... Am I wrong ?

OS takes some time to settle.

Give it a hard reset by pressing the power button until the phone shuts off and you see the red light.

Hard resets usually help my problems.

What's the difference between resetting the way you just described and holding the two volume rockers until reset? I'm sure others have described this as a 'hard' reset as well. Which is truly a hard reset? And if one of them isn't then what is it?!

    Cheers

It's a phone, I'm not "running it" or "rocking it" I just use it. Z30STA100-2/10.2.1.3062
