I think might be a problem if BlackBerry give up bis all together. It's still much cheaper from the tel Co. Rather than data plans.

Bis has nothing to do with 4G. BIS is a server i think and 4G is the speed of data?

Yup. Correct. BB10 isn't reliant on BIS anymore. 4g just makes it faster to download data.

That all depends. In many countries, after the Blackbery 10 rollout, providers have made special accomodations for Blackberry Messenger, for example. No other platform has such a benefit:

Here in the USA, we never had inexpensive BIS plans. It was always part of regular data plans. It was a much bigger deal in the developing world.

But the problem with BIS is it causes other performance problems and is a huge expense for Blackberry to operate. I do believe that the tradeoff made for Blackberry 10 is a reasonable one considering the modern market direction, and the desires/demands of the carriers around the world.
