I have installed leaks on older BB devices and actually installed 10.2.0.1443 as a leak when I first got my Z10...that was before I loaded any apps or data on the phone. Now I want to install 10.2.0.1803 but want to make sure I follow the best procedure. Here is what I think works but would love to hear from others (I do have Sachesi 1.1 but am not all that familiar with its usage).

    1) backup phone in total using Link
    2) wipe phone
    3) run installer
    4) reinstall apps from BB World and sideloaded .bar files
    5) restore phone using Link

    Any better or simpler way?

    Hi!
If you use autoloader to load the OS you don't need to wipe. It wipes automatically. After installing the OS, I do a security wipe. Which is by far the longest and most painful procedure.

    1) Make a full backup of phone using BB Link
    2) Download updates and install .bar files using Sachesi
    3) Relax with a drink of your choice and wait for the installation to complete
    4) If the phone doesn't start normally or something goes wrong, don't panic.
You can always retry the above or reload the previous or currently available OS using BB Link. There are also many helpful BB owners/users in the forums willing to offer assistance.
For instructions on using Sachesi, follow the link (or copy and paste it in your browser) Advanced: How to Force Load the Latest OS 10.2 On Your BlackBerry - BerryReview
No need to wipe and restore phone or reinstall apps unless the above methods fail.

It removes any TEMP Files left on phone for example PASSWORD doesent get removed so these things get wiped after

    Also it improves overall preformance

Just use the Sachesi method since this is an official leak. It will update right over the top of your device and will not delete or screw with settings or data.

Advanced: How to Force Load the Latest OS 10.2 On Your BlackBerry - BerryReview

Set the country code as: 262
Set the carrier code as: 02
    Set the device as: Z10
Set the variant as: STL 100-1 or STL 100-2 (if you have a 2, 3 or 4 device)

I used this method on my Z10 on Verizon (STL 100-4) and it works great. Also this can be done on a Mac, Linux or Windows computer.

Oh and nice Dodge Stealth. Is it an R/T? I used to own a 1993 3000GT VR-4, loved that car. I plan on buying one again, someday.

Yes, 1991 turbo but not stock. Buy one soon as they are disappearing. Dodge brand ended in 1995 or 1996 and Mitsu stopped around 1999.

If you had a software company, why do you ask a basic question that you can find everywhere on the forum

Thanks. When I tried to find the download on Sachesi earlier, I entered data for T-Mobile US for STL100-3 and all it showed me was a download for a 10.1 release.

I listed my procedure and asked if there was a better one. I guess you are god and know everything by osmosis.

With Sachesi you can use any Country and Carrier codes where the update is available, e.g., Spain (214) Vodafone (01) or Germany (262) Vodafone (02). Also, make sure you specify the correct device and model for your phone.

Funny thing is that if I use 100-3, I get an older version of the OS and got the latest by using 100-2.

To clean up any fragments left behind after install. These small bits don't always cause problems but why take a chance that they will. Do the security wipe just to be sure...

Don't use TMO codes. Use what I posted earlier.

    Here :

Set the country code as: 262
Set the carrier code as: 02
    Set the device as: Z10
Set the variant as: STL 100-2

Use the codes listed in post #7 above. It worked for me. If I used those codes and select STL100-3 (my phone) I DO NOT get the latest OS. I needed to ender STL100-2 just like that post said.

I know I read about this somewhere but I can't find the post with the fix. When using Sachesi to load the new OS files, it does not update the software release number. Mine still says 10.2.0.210. Does anyone know how to fix that?

    Security wipe.

But it's not an issue, software release doesn't mean squat.
