Is there a "proper" way to install or uninstall software on a BB10 phone? What about Android apps?

Is there recommended utility software to keep a BB10 phone running "clean" and fast?

Is it recommended to periodically wipe a BB10 phone and reload everything? Or is that not necessary with the BB10 OS?

Thanks for your feedback. My Q10 is running fine, but I've installed and uninstalled lots of software trying different things out. Just wondering if a BB10 phone gets polluted over time like a Windows PC and if there's anything that should be done to prevent future problems?

You don't need to reinstall the OS to keep it running the way it needs to. I use Taskmanager to keep apps from running in the background and the memory at it best. That said, I do restart my Z30 about every other day just to keep it at it s best.

Some android apps do leave clutter after you have uninstalled them.

I downloaded TaskManager and will give it a try. Thank you for the suggestion.

How do you find and delete the Android clutter?

In my case, the clutter is sitting at 884 MB. Lot of Android apps installed and uninstalled. and right now using only 3 Android Apps.

I am thinking of wipe, reload, update when 10.3.1 arrives, officially.

I'm also thinking of a clean install when 10.3.1 officially arrives for the Q10. I'm trying to "get lean" now, eliminating apps I don't need/use.

Sorry I missed this question, routing through file manager and deleting the files left behind. I do not advise this unless you know what's what because you could end up breaking an app you want to use.
