    Sideloading refers to the method by which apps are installed. You can sideload lots of stuff: radio, OS files, official apps from AppWorld, and so forth. But it will always have to be a .bar file. This forum describes a method by which android apps (obtained as apk files) can be converted to bar to be sideloaded onto a BB10 device. Part of this process is to generate a debugtoken.bar which is unique to the device for which it is created. The debugtoken method has been successful getting some android apps to run that haven't worked by other methods.

    You will have to use services like apk2bar to convert your apks as the converted bars you have are PIN specific.

    This has been stated many times over...you can NOT run this on a PlayBook. you must be running 10.2 OS.
    And if you have 10.2 on your PB you need to tell us how.

    Well, there have been many Android runtimes released that are newer than this one (including the one you're referring to), but this is the latest one that allows extended app functionality without a debug token.

    If you want the latest, then the Android runtime from 10.2.0.1743/10.2.0.1761 (both are version 10.2.0.125) is what you should have.

    did someone tell you that it converts apks? it does not. please search how to convert them. this has been explained hundreds of times

    I'm assuming you already know this runtime will only run on the 10.2 OS. Were you using the debug method before sideloading the unlocked runtime? If so, you will have to reconvert all your apks.

    Ok after I did a hard reset it and reloaded it I noticed it started working now so I'm good

    This is expected with the 4.2.2 unlocked runtime. The black bars are permanent with this one.

    If you want no black bars, install the runtime from 10.2.0.1725 or higher. And those need debug tokens.
