It is simply the virtual machine that allows us to run android applications. Use 7zip to extract the rar and then side load as with any bar file.

its a program within the OS that allows converted APK files (android) to run within BB10.
it is in all BB10 OS but this one does not (mostly) require debug tokens, which are signing files for the converted applications to run within BB10

kinda like a shortcut to get them to work

Bar files yes. And the difference is that you will not need to run a debug token for the majority of Android apps
