For any runtime updates, install the new one over the old one and hard reboot your phone.

I installed the debug token with this runtime, but Waze is now crashing on me each time I try running it. I tried both versions 3.7.2 & 3.7.3, both of which worked on the unlocked runtime. The best part is that I mainly installed this runtime in order to get rid of the permanent bar to see if that would allow me to report things on Waze :-/

Anyone have any suggestions other than going back to the unlocked runtime with the permanent bar?
With the new unlocked runtime, Waze works even better than ever on this new one. Now all we need is for Waze to tweak the app so that we're able to reach those buttons for reporting things on the map (such as heavy traffic and such) :-D

Hey Team a lot of people so far are reporting certain android apps not being able to get a connection. For example some of my android apps only detect a connection with LTE on and wifi off.

Guys is just me or this runtime literaly closes together with the app? How many times i open instagram and the runtime needs to always load.. unlike the old runtime where u know that the runtime is active and its just opening the app.

It is a way of having a BlackBerry 10 device run Android apps. If they haven't been officially converted, you're able to convert them yourself using different tools/sites such as http://www.apktobar.org and then side-load them (install them on your BB), and they will run on what's called the Android runtime which is essentially an Android emulator that comes with every BB 10 device :-D This thread is related to an upgrade there was available on the emulator (runtime).

As for the permanent bar was something we saw in leaked version of OS 10.2, however it never came out in any official OS. It took up way too much real-estate on the Q5/Q10 devices, rendering certain apps such as Waze partially disabled (it wasn't possible to report anything on there for eg, as the "send" button for the reports was out of site, and there was no way to get to it with the permanent navigation bar).

This an old thread for old OS, on newer OS you can hide the back bar by sweep from top and select hide bar.
