B) is a good idea
A) is available depending on carrier. It is under the settings section of phone app
If you don't see it, it isn't blackberry's fault, but that your carrier wants to charge you for the service

Extracte few bars from it, but why I got " failure 880 manifest asset list " on almost every bar file in the Playbook App Manager?- using 1443, and installed bars from up versions successfully, never happened this error msg before, debug token OK not expired or sth ?

Remember that even though the OSes are very similar in build dates, this is a branch that branched off around 15xx
I tried earlier, and it wouldn't work. The 3rd party apps should all carry over though

I tried earlier, and it wouldn't work. The 3rd party apps should all carry over though

What happened is was on my way installing the files, read your post and aborted. turns out it installed 3 of the 4 files, the only one not installed is sys.pim.calendar (the main app, I think).
Anyway, it still works everything

I tried just loading the 4 calendar bars and it did do a force close. Reloaded to the bars from 1767 and all is good.

Many of the bars are much older than 1767 after looking at the manifests. Package issue dates are all across the board from early August to mid September. Tempted to play with some other bars over 1767 but I suspect they won't play well together and are mostly older anyway. My guess is the stuff that worked well was baked into 1767.

The only thing I did notice that there is a whole host of "unique" nuance vocon bars over 1767 but I believe they are just language related.

You may just want to download the autoloader and extract with Darcy's tools.

And, as has been noted the calendar does not work over 1767 and some others may not either. So, if you are going this route, you should probably do one at a time to see what works. Also, many of these are much older than 1767 files.

I think if you want to experience the "tweaks" in this you will probably need to load the whole OS.
