Someone on Telus and someone on Bell have already said that they get a software release of 10.2.0.415, so I guess it's about time that Rogers/Fido gets a SW release.

I did not have Software Release version on initial load but after first reboot with volume buttons it showed up as pictured.

Does this "software release" information mean that the leak has become valid?

    What does it now mean?

    Updated from 1725.

I did a full restore from the backup, and had no issues. Nothing broke this time. Unlike restoring from 10.1.0.4828 to 10.2.0.1725, which not only messed up my contacts list (not just the dark theme settings, but any settings) but also the ability to run any android app - ported or sideloaded. I had to redo the install and reset everything myself, restoring only media. Any of the other two restores broke the whole thing - even restoring just app data, which everyone said would be fine to do.

    But this time was different.

I also prepared differently this time.

Before doing a backup, I deleted my two email and my Facebook accounts. The sole contacts list I use is pulled from my work Exchange account via EAS. So, I had no worries about getting that back. Then I did my backup.

After the OS load, I reloaded all apps from BB World, sideloaded the 4 android apps I use (no debug needed as they seem to run fine so far without it), then ran the restore. After that, and all apps fell into place and settings are as they should be, then I recreated my work exchange account, home email account, and set up the Facebook account.

I did have to reset the notifications for the email accounts as my previous settings were lost when I deleted them. But that was a minor thing.

My SMS conversations carried over just fine (I did a backup with SMS Backup just in case they didn't), but it only showed phone numbers until I recreated the work account (which I expected). Once the contacts filled in, names showed up in the SMS app.

I'm on AT&T with a -3, and initially did not get a software release number. But after shutting the phone completely down, then a battery pull, then a re-insert and subsequent boot up, I actually got the software release number. 415, like everyone else.

Seems to be running fine so far.

in this build you still need debug token for certain apps to work, i installed the unlocked runtime in this build and was able to get certain apps work again
and the bar should be hidden or it is fixed with the unlocked runtime? Thanks

So after all that reading I am gonna assume that we can just load the bars and should have everything, the one question I have is toobs mentioned a few fixes to the core OS, Forgive my ignorance but that is not part of the changed bars is, or is it the system bar?

If I can upgrade to 1767, from 1761 without destruction that would be awesome.

I sure do wish that bbm chat history could be saved and then searched for in an archive like it used to be. Unless I'm doing something completely wrong hut every time I put a fresh leak on my bbm messages disappear and there seems to be no way of getting them back even if I select save chat history. Anyone know how to find these archived chats?

    Thanks

I have discovered a problem in this leak, the keyboard language selection is not sticking. For eg. Arabic language is not sticking, after rebooting. I had to enable it every time I reboot

Maybe your carrier updated its OS database as you were using your phone? Im not too sure how all this works though.

Either way makes the 10.2.0.1767 legit.

You can load the update bar files non-destructively and may experience some improvements, however incremental, with those.

However, if you were experiencing certain bugs it will probably require the destructive full OS autoloader to realize those corrections.

You should not lose your chats by just sideloading the updated bars, but do a full backup just in case.

Just over 24 hours running this leak and things seem good. Did not do a restore. Only issue I had was I couldn't get Facebook pictures to sync but after deleting the app, re installing it all worked fine. Battery life seems great as well. Thanks leaks team! Keep up the great work!

i'm just curious, is there an easy way to save my calendar, remember notes and my passwords in password keeper. short of copying them down and re inputting them. So i can do this upgrade and don't mess up the upgrade by reinstalling my backup. I find the re-install has a glitch that takes away the dark theme from my contacts. Also is anyone else having issues with multiple contacts, and the loss of current sms messages when you do a restore?

the 10.2.1.xxxx branch (fork) was for purposes of testing in parallel to the parent 10.2.0.xxxx OS. The changes in the branch may or may not ever be merged or incorporated into the parent structure. Of course BB has not always done things which would be customary to normal development norms so who knows. My guess is that future 10.2 releases will be under 10.2.0.xxx and probably 10.3... after that.
