I don't think you can do a non-destructive update of the core OS, only the apps, and the core OS, I believe, contains many of the bug fixes, for example, of Docs to Go. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I've already upgraded from the autoloader, sideloading the unlocked runtime, and it's working very well--no bugs for me except that the dark theme won't work in Contacts due to my restore, and someone earlier said that voice memos can't be saved (I don't know--I don't use them).

It is a possibility with any install you run the risk of losing information. This is an 'at your own risk' install

I know that there is a possibility, but I was wondering if anyone knows how the database locations have changed and when the database locations have changed. Is link smart enough to know that the new 10.2 update requires the databases in different locations? Or does it simply stick them where the 10.1 databases were.

Correct, but changed bars for some of the apps (we shall call) can be overwritten in sideloading fashion. Like camera, maps, dtg, sms etc. Core os, no, that is a whole in it or not situation like you said.

I downloaded and installed without any issues.

I did not do any kind of security wipe. Haven't since 10.2 and haven't had any problems with any of the builds.

After installing the OS I installed the unlocked runtime using Sachesi.

Then I installed all my BlackBerry apps through Appworld, then again using Sachesi I installed all of my Android apps.

I then did a restore of my settings only.

Whole process usually takes about 30 minutes to complete.

Left it on the charger all night.

Everything is running fine. No noticeable issues at the moment.

Will report back on battery life.

Thanks again to the BlackBerry Leaks team for keeping us busy!!! :-D

The last several leaks would display a notification pop-up whenever Wallpaper HD changed the wallpaper background on the Z10. Has 1767 fixed this problem?

I believe that this should be addressed by the app developer and not the OS.
But again, maybe I am wrong...

Downloaded with Firefox and Installed with no issues, when my wife was sleeping.
This leak settled quick and my q10 battery runs ice cold.
no issues: DTG, Maps, SMS, BBworld, Dark Theme, run out of the box.
Phone call is crystal clear. this leak is solid and quick.
Battery will wait next 48 hrs.

Fingers crossed this is the first 10.2 leak where my Wifi doesn't die, necessitating a reboot. Early days but woke up this morning and was still connected, which is a first. Thanks guys

Compared to the previous leak, anyone noticing an increase in fluidity and performance? Currently, every now and then, the phone will lag when minimizing an application and the animation gets choppy. Has this been addressed?

    Good morning,
Can you tell me if you store your contacts only on outlook.com are you getting the BB pin numbers back in the right field on your device addressbook if you don't have the Person added over BBM ?

Eight hours since the install and all seems to be settling down. Battery is cold and DTG bug was addressed and fixed.

Still early days for battery. So I'll continue to monitor. Today is a good test, as it's been on charger all night and will now not go back on charge. Removed from Charger at 6am.

I think that Link is smart enough to know where to put them, even though I don't understand your question. A few people have had issues with installing leaks and doing a restore, but I read many of the complete threads and seldom see this mentioned.

Sometimes people have better luck restoring one type of thing at a time, like settings, Application, media separately

I went through all the pages on this thread but didn't see the inquiry im trying to point at, so I need your help :

Did you know whether black theme on SMS, contacts, BBM and Calendar is built in on the OS, or do I need to Sideload it?

    I am on STL 100-1.

    nope....

I wrote do app developer and i`v got that answer:

"Unfortunately because BB keeps changing things in 10.2 there is no way for me to track all the changes, until a more official release is available. It seems to be something they recently added and hopefully they remove it"
