As it turns out. Wi-Fi texting does exist on t-mobile. Something i wish I had known a very long time ago so I wouldn't have had all those Damn charges for roaming sms while in the states lol. But. I only had my Verizon phone there. And nope.

Had just installed the 1047 leak.... I am used to old school blackberry Q10 anyway someone can educate me on how to Sideload an app if it won't load? I am a bit new to the Q10 and want to get up to speed so that I can learn how to:
- utilize tethering / mobile hotspot
- install instagram / other apps that are not supported.
- With leaks if old apps don't work what I have to do to make them work.

Actually I'd try a hard reboot first. And I'd double check to see I got the right file. If yes, try and load once more, if no, download right file and load that instead. If it still doesn't work, load an older OS... but it should work.

Agreed, but I figured if s/he asked the question s/he did, s/he is not an advanced user and would probably be best served with the minimalist approach.

This OS is running smooth, my phone hasn't worked this good ever. I haven't sideloaded anything yet I will give it a day or so.
If your sitting on the fence whether to load this or not. Load it it's fantastic.

You can look at this for side loading:
Chrome Side Load Method
There are other methods.

Tethering is easy. Make sure you have an appropriate data plan, turn on wifi hotspot from settings, go to the device you want to tether and connect to the network.

If old apps don't work there is nothing you can do until the developer updates their app. Seeing as 10.2 will be out shortly this shouldn't be too much of an issue for often updated apps.

Do not do any of this without reading A LOT. It is important that you know what you are doing. I suggest you check out the threads stickied to this sub forum and the wikia. Use the search button heavily. Don't be afraid to ask questions but try to make sure they are not easily findable answers.
