I don't need to charge my Z30 every night. But when you drop it into bedside mode it has to be plugged into the charger to permanent display the clock.

Would be nice to have the option to keep the display on without the charger connected so when I get up for a pee in the night I can check the time.

As the display is so dim in bedside mode, I can't imagine that it's going to use much of the battery.

    Just my penny worth.

Weird. On my Z10, I can drag down the bedside mode from the lock screen without it being plugged in charging. That's not an option on the Z30?

Right but the screen will time out. If it's plugged in it stays on

You obviously didn't read my original post correctly! I'm talking about the clock staying illuminated without the charger being plugged in.

The screen would still drain enough power, especially on the Z10 that you wouldn't want to do this.

It doesn't matter if it needs to be charged. Just plug it in. It won't hurt it and only takes a second to insert the plug. Probably take longer to access the option, if there was one.

This would be a nice feature...

As a general tip, your battery will last longer if you keep the battery fully charged more often. lithium ion batteries last less time the more full cycles they go through.
