This started recently and I don't know why. My Z10 has been especially glitchy the past couple weeks. Anyways, every time I drag down the bedside mode shade, it goes to a black blank screen for a second then rolls back up. It keeps doing that and I can't get it to stay...

Anyone know why or how to fix this? Thank you in advance!

This is a pretty frustrating problem I had, but it only seemed to happen to me when I had a weak mobile connection. It usually started working when I either...
    -Try for the nth time
    -Turn off my connections

I don't know if those would work for you as it did for me, but it's better to let you know than nothing.

Happens for me within thirty minutes from reboot/power up.

Never found solution for it (happens since 10.2 on Q10 and Q5). After about half an hour bedside mode works. Guess it`s another bug that BlackBerry is unable (or lazy) to fix...

Thanks for the response, guess I'll just deal with it. :/ Here's to hoping for a 10.3 fix, I guess. lol

Are you trying it from the lock screen or the clock app or both?

Haven't been able to replicate this bug for a while. Haven't had it since the 10.2.1.19xx version

Had this too the other day. I did a battery pull to get it working again. The volume reset didn't work for some reason

Does it work from the clock app?

Mine has been doing this ever since I set it to turn off wireless connections in bedside mode. I like the idea of one swipe to set the thing into a super low power alarm clock mode, but lately it's been two or three times to get it to 'stick'...

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I know how it works. Just asking the OP if he tried it from the clock app.

I have tried a few times and it has worked fine for me. I guess this is the workaround for now. Thank you all for the help; hope to see a proper resolution soon.

Well, I don't know that it's a work around since it's supposed to work from the clock app.

Same thing happens to me, sometimes it just works, other times I literally have to swipe it down 20-25 times to get it to stay. It's super annoying because I'm usually at that point where I'm really tired and I have to sit there for a good 5-19 minutes continually swiping my phone... so annoying. have tried with quick settings and lock screen. Seems to be sporadic.

So since I've gotten my Z30, this has not been a problem. Seems it's a Z10 specific issue?

There is a big need for a task scheduler kind of app where it can trigger system functions like this at set times or triggers. Would be nice to have it stock, but this would be a big winner of an app.
