    After updating to 10.1 MR my BBM wouldn't open. I restored to a backup I knew was working, same. So I did a factory default restore from BBL. It starts to look for my contacts, but I get a temporary server error. Everything else works, BBID works. Went to carrier, said a software issue but gave me some things to try, no luck. Can you dele/un-install BBM and reinstall

    May be best to go right to the latest 10.2.9. 1047 leak. Install is easy and smooth for most folk. Function is wonderful.

    Otherwise using Link and restore to factory settings may bring back the original OS. Then pick an upgrade option. The wonder of BlackBerry is the ability to install the OS if your own choice.

    Nah, that doesn't solve the issue. I'm on 1047 and the same issue takes place. The only way to resolve it at this point that I'm aware of is the original way- connecting to a pc and downloading the latest BBM with Channels.

    *** Also, you can't even go into BB World in dev mode to get the BZ app. it says "Content not found".
