so i have a Q10 and i am in a country that block bbm voice and video

i have a vpn so i can make video calls with my friends who have a bb10

the problem is that my friends on android and iphone can make calls with each other but i cant see the calling button its not green and its not grey

and when they try to call me it says im not available while on the other hand i can see my friends BB10 call button and its green

so whats the problem ?

is there a fix for it ?

Video calls are not currently supported cross-platform, only Voice Calls.

Dollars to donuts your friends haven't upgraded their bbm's.

It take two to tango. And I notice droids and macs don't like to update anything.

Make sure they're running the lastest versions for their os.

This could be the problem or you/they should check their BBM settings to see if "Allow BBM Calls Over Mobile Networks" is turned on or not.

all of them their BBM up to date / all of them '' Allow bbm calls over mobile network '' is turned on

i think the problem from my BBM or my Q10 idk :/

I'd be guessing here but I'd still say your issues are related to the bans on BBM in your country and the VPN.
Are the non-BB users that you are trying to call also in a country that has blocks on BBM?

Yes but they dont need to use vpn or hotspot its not blocked in iphone and android


Its only block on BlackBerry cuz i recieve updates from my carrier

In my country, telkomsel not allowed BlackBerry user make a BBM call and video with another BlackBerry user or iphone + android, but iphone + android can do each other.

Any other provider here allow to use that feature.

The problem is there are 2 network providers (( Du )) and (( Etisalat )) and both blocking the bbm video and voice calls

So i cant switch to another network :$

It wont i have to let the vpn work cuz the wireless provider is one of them Du or etisalat


I really hate them for doing this
