The official 10.2 update released has lots of bugs, and BlackBerry users are left finding ways to fix it themselves!

You're comparing an app to a whole OS...

I'm certain that they're working on the bug fixes as we speak. It just takes time. OS updates are on a different scale than simple app updates.

I mean all they had to do for the iOS app was change the font haha, not too time consuming.

iOS 7 had security issues (lock screen i think) when released and Apple released an update after a few weeks to address it.

Haven't experienced any problems with 10.2 aside from a problem with files that occurred because of the leaked OSes.

Apple was able to fix their issue because it was a problem on every device. I haven't seen any problems with 10.2 that everyone is experiencing. Certain people have had different issues but it's hard to recreate each issue and fix it.

Give them time, in a few years they'll be way beyond what they had in bbos

But now you're comparing Apple's response time to OS-wide bug issues to BlackBerry's, which isn't the same comparison you initially gave (BlackBerry's response to app-specific bugs on another platform vs. their response to OS-wide bug issues on 10.2).

I don't get your point, is there something wrong with pointing that out?

It's basically the equivalent of changing the subject. Or, more accurately, committing a fallacy. You're comparing two completely different things and inviting a discussion on it, which will pretty much not end very well.

I will say that 10.2 hasn't been out for very long, and because BlackBerry has to go through carrier approval (something Apple is not bound to), it will take much longer for them to address the issues you and other users are experiencing. Think back to the summer's 10.1 MR update for reference.

    I see.

My only point is that blackberry fixed issues with bbm for ios users (which is all good), but i think it would also be nice if we, blackberry users, could get a fix on some of the bugs on 10.2 in a timely manner. And i only pointed out to apple releasing an update to the ios 7 issues just to show that it's possible to address an issue on an os-level in a short turnaround time.

But I'm not gonna say "if apple can do it, why can't blackberry too? " because I'm aware of the huge difference between them. And yeah, carrier approval has a lot to do with it. I only wish blackberry will be able to address the bugs quicker because 10.2 is such a nice OS update with a lot of great features and these bugs just ruin the experience for many blackberry users.

You're comparing a huge security flaw to bugs, I would hope if BB10 had a security flaw like that, that they would fix it asap

Which bugs are we talking about exactly? I'm running a 1791 with 725 bars loaded over it. I have had 0 bugs what so ever. Out of curiosity. Did you wipe or restore from 10.1 after an update to 10.2?

As stated before the update that Apple released deleted a font that BBMx needed to function properly so it was a simple mater to release an patch to BBMX to fix that problem. An OS bug or bugs is a different cup of tea altogether don't compare apples to oranges.
