I am looking at finding out if there is a way to silence BBM Group chats?
On OS7 you could configure what the group would do. Just show a notification, make a sound etc....
On my Q10, in notifications under BBM, I only have the option to configure the settings for BBM as a whole. Is this all I can do? Is there no way to silence just a Group chat while still hearing when I get a bbm message?

Are you sure? It looks like that just stops it from showing up in the hub... I'll hafta give it a try and find out. One way or another, BB10 definitely needs more sound profile customization

I will give that a shot as well and see. Kind of sucks not being able to have it in the hub still. But o well, can't have your cake and eat it too.
I will let you guys know today if it stays quiet or not.

So turning off the display in hub setting gets rid of any notification at all.
    No icon, sound, etc.
This isn't the greatest solution. The only way to see if someone is chatting in the group is too go into the actual chat convo. It is still better then hearing it ding a million times when you have 10 guys chatting and so on.
Hopefully BlackBerry will sort the notification profiles out sooner then later.

That's actually not exactly true. Yes. It turns off all notification in hub. And all sound. But u will c' when someone is talking by opening bbm. U don't have to go right into conversation to see that. It will show a new message on main screen for that group

That isn't happening with me. I don't get any little notification star thing on the BBM icon. I tested it out this morning. The group was chatting for a while, and I didn't get anything. Until I went into the chat then saw the conversation.
