    I was happy to show my photos to contacts on BBM, but seemingly BBM compresses them so much that they end up looking just awful. Is there any way I can turn off this compression or make it not basically ruin the photos i send to friends? Cheers

    The person receiving it can request a high quality from the menu.

    Yes this needs to be addressed. It does the same thing when you put up a display pic.

    I believe it is not permanent due to data usage. Not every photo I send necessarily needs to be full. When the recipients wish for higher quality they can request. However I do wish to set my phone to auto allow.
