    Goodness only knows what the trick is. I have tried every which way to read my Z10 (any of them, 3.2 and 3.3) and PP (3.3) as a Z: drive under W10, having attached it by USB cable. The mechanism works perfectly in W7. Can anybody provide a foolproof fool's guide?

    +1 for what brookie said, although I'd add that a good hardware-based firewall will take care of the security risks of SMB1.
