I can return it... it's just 9x days old

I don't think there's anything wrong with the device. But you'll need patience for the battery to ease up because of all that initial syncing. Also you'll need to make sure that your email settings are push only and that you aren't resyncing new contacts every 30 mins

One of the key things with iOS is that apps are not running while minimized with some exceptions. Here you can turn it off so that apps aren't draining for nothing.

Like somebody said the system CPU is very high. Consistent with what I was seeing few hours after installing a leak last night. Do a hard reset and try and monitor the CPU usage? It should generally not be that high so that's definitely the problem. Do you use it every minute of the day?

While ios is more optimized since it's been around longer, the capacity difference should make up for that. Doubt it's the battery tech either like some say

Besides de outlook.com account, the other imap accounts have 'use push if supported' checked, but this doesn't influence the sync interval bar, which has different sync intervals for each account. I am not sure if all of the 3 imap accounts are pushing 100%.

So you think that even after 10 days, the battery cell still calibrates?

I will trace the cpu usage today. I wiped the device 4x days ago and didn't install anything besides cb10.

Between working hours I use it almost constantly. But identical as former iPhone 6 usage. Just stock apps, no high graphics apps, no archiving, some vpn even... the iPhone didn't drain even 1% after 1hour of light morning calls and 3-4 news articles with bloomberg app.

I do find iOS devices in general are very efficient when in stand-by taking almost no battery power. Just like when the playbook came out, the standby time for that vs the ipad was monumentally different. Also, i've noticed there is no difference for me when on LTE or 4G/3G in terms of battery life.

That is true! The iPad shows how efficient the system is, it doesn't compare in terms of battery life with any other device...still the same system as iPhone but huge battery. We are not talking here about signal strength or frequency nor display drainage....just OS process

By wiping you haven't fixed the problem if the problem is with certain settings in PIM. Which is email, contacts, calendar. You'll find plenty of advice on other threads with other BlackBerry 10 devices that might have similar problems. Usually it's dependent on how heavy their calendar, contacts list is. Also with many email accounts that can cause more strain too.

Thanks very much Dave for following up,

But what about simple imap mail servers, not just outlook dot com.

I have usually on the four mail accounts 2-4 hrs sync interval. I am not sure if they push.

Sync time frame might be too long. For example you could have emails trying to sync since the beginning of time, that could take a long time.

Also that 2.5 gigs of data downloaded is in a weeks time span or? I'm guessing it's 4- 5 days timespan which is way too much lol.

I downloaded remotely over 4G 2gigs. That was just one-time in less than 20mins. So I wouldn't consider that.

But the one with sync time-frame maybe...

I wish they had a 90 day option for Exchange accounts. 30 days is too little, forever is too much.

Yes when first adding accounts and syncing, your phone only does it in little pieces at a time... so syncing an old account forever is going to put a constant drain on the battery for a few days at least.. is the phone warm when discharging at this rate?

Not necessarily, I may feel it 1-2 times every couple of days that it's surprisingly warm while charging or discharging...

What's the actual advantage of time-frame 'forever' if you can search for your mail on remote search by account in the hub?
