I bought a Passport recently to keep my Q10 company...
As a business/productivity/security focused device, why is VPN support so patchy in BB10. I subscribe to VPNUK and NordVPN, and use a fixed IP to administer various servers. This wasn't really an option on the Q10 due to screen size so I never bothered trying. New Passport - excellent, I'll set up the VPN connections and ssh in! Not possible! I know connections will work with some providers but surely it would be reasonable to expect wider compatibility?
    End of rant!

For a while I used Witopia which worked just fine. Now I have my own VPN server and again it works without issue.

Two suggestions: talk to your provider support to see if they can fix the problem. If they can't, find a better provider.

There are some APIs for openvpn, but i think there aren't any apps to take advantage of them. Ipsec worked ok for ke though...
