It'll come when it's ready. I'd rather them take their time, than have them rush it, and have it full of bugs like the first release of 10.3.

They haven't touched it in weeks. It's on someone else's plate now.

    Shouldn't BlackBerry/BB10 be shortlisted here?

Not necessarily. I guarantee that more than 7 products are currently under review.

I have said again and again, the new BB10 update will contain no new features so for us consumers, there is nothing to look forward to!
Yeah, but that has not stopped the occasional thread asking about the "promised" update. Makes one wonder if some people who use the forums bother to read any at all....

Commitment in words have no value. Actions speak louder than words! BBOS had far more support. BlackBerry 9900's are what I should have sticked onto. Upgrading to OS10, should never really have been an option.

BlackBerry promised us that we will get the update the update on August and it's August but I find no thread related to ask about the Update...

They also promised BB10 on PlayBook, so maybe take it all with a grain of salt?

As it does not hold any visible changes that an operator of a device will see, why not wait? You won't even know that it has been updated after the fact. Relax and breathe.

Meaningful updates for BB10 ended almost 16 months ago.... about two years after the Z10 was launched. But only a few months after the Passport and Classic were released, and befroe the Leap even hit the market.

Not sure what moyah8 thinks was so great about BB10... It was kinda expected that BlackBerry might end up leaving the original Z10, Q10, Q5 behind when they moved to a 64Bit OS. But Chen started making cuts and 64Bits operation was one of those cuts....

Anyway, here we are with a 32 Bit OS running a three year old Android runtime...yeah BB10 is so great!

Absolutely, nothing less than a full-on 64-bit OS along with a trillion gigabytes will be good enough for sending texts and making calls. Right on!

Well if texts and calls is all that is needed....why would anyone have ever bought a BlackBerry?

There are many advantages in going to 64-bit operation... advantages that Google, Apple and Windows sought out LONG ago. But to be honest, I think Apple is probably the one that has benefited the most. It really amazes me what that are able to do with so little RAM, and batteries that are half the size of their Android counterpoints. They might have a walled in little world, but they run it very efficiently.

Really wish BB10 could have seen it's full potential. If BlackBerry had got to the point of using custom hardware that was designed to function best with QNX (64-bit version of course), no emulators or runtimes bogging it down. No Android ports that were designed to take full advantage of how BB10 operates.... just wishful thinking.

BlackBerry may have suggested a number of potential timeframes over the last few months, but I would never consider any of them "promises".

We happily accept that bb10 is Dead so the update is not that important for them to release on priority, beside BlackBerry is now on full focus on running GOOGLE so we would be grateful to BlackBerry if they give us till Christmas.

Trust a snake but not BlackBerry

Actually I do emails too and web browsing and a few apps and never use up the full resources of a 2GB phone with dual-core 1.5 GHz

I must be missing something that these enlightened Android users are enjoying. Pity me!
