Looks like android player is doing stuff sometimes even though no app is open. I only ever installed one.
Also bluetooth and location are TURNED OFF in settings and didn't use to show up here, but since the upgrade they show cpu usage.

Try by refreshing the hub by swiping 4 times from right corner of the screen. This fixed the high system usage for me. Hope that it works for you too..!

Also, I did the hub refresh after like 6-8 hours after update... also consider that the OS might be syncing after the installed update.

Regarding the flight mode in the bedside mode this is something you can chose. It's always been so.
Now on this new update it comes set up automatically : as soon as you activate bedside mode it will go flight mode. But you can disable it.

    Trust this clarifies :-)

One thing I've noticed from this upgrade (original Passport) is that Bedside Mode now works differently.

With the previous OS, I would wake up, grab my Passport off the Charging Dock, and lots of new messages would be waiting ready for me to read.

Since the update to OS 10.3.2.2876 my Passport doesn't immediately show the outstanding messages, I now have to wait a few minutes for them to download - it's as if Bedside Mode now puts the phone into Flight Mode as well.

Has anybody else noticed this change?

Btw - two days after the OS Update, battery life is at least back to normal, or possibly even better than it was before - currently 63% at 9.40pm, after a day which had about 2.5 hours of telephone calls.... (Yesterday, the first day after the OS Update, the battery life was appalling and the Passport was down to 8% by the time I got home c.midnight, and I probably had less than 2 hours of phone calls yesterday....).

I've refreshed the hub and restarted the device. High system usage and strange bluetooth and location service still clogs the cpu. Same 2% average, I tested in standby during last night again.

Strange that my spare Z10 (without a sim in) has updated but the Z30's myself and my wife use (Both Sim Free and on 3 UK) show no updates available , have tried via the on phone updater , the Link and the BB website , all show current software up to date (version 10.3.2.2474). Strange......

Originally, I just started the app. Flipped the Wi-Fi calling to on after I was connnected to a wifi access point.
Sadly, today I am now getting a weird REG99-Unable to connect. I'll try a reboot later, just in case. Sorry.

Bedside Mode settings are access via Clock.
So, launch the built in Clock app, swipe down from the top and choose Clock Settings.
The switch for Wireless Connections in Bedside Mode controls the option you are after:
If On, the device will still receive and store messages, those will be available to review the second you exit Bedside Mode.
If Off, the device will shut off radios and be basically switched into Airplane Mode, so all messages will have to be synced once you exit Bedside Mode.

I don't know if it is just me, but my Z10 seems to work much better since the last update.
It is much snappier, faster, things like opening BlackBerry Assistant would take 2-3 seconds, now it opens instantly, keyboard seems more responsive, it doesn't get so hot when browsing the Web as it used to, and even battery life seems slightly better (although not sure about this one).
Don't know about the android runtime, as the only android app I use is Google maps, which is still running fine.
Only thing I wish is that they fixed the calendar bug when adding new appointment.

Resuming : I was happy before, and I am happier now with my Z10.

Thanks, very kind of you to provide the explanation. I never knew how to access this setting. (Live and learn!).

What's weird, now I've checked, is that "Wireless Connections in Bedside Mode" is already set to ON.

What I've also found, is that I only suffer this lack of messages if I pick up my phone BEFORE the alarm is set to go off.... if the alarm has already gone off (irrespective of how many times I have hit snooze or not) then the messages are downloaded.
