I received an email from Amazon today informing me my order has been shipped and there was an attachment to the email. Normally I would have deleted knowing it was spam or phishing but this time I actually had something shipping I bought from Amazon.

So I opened the attached word doc on my Passport and as it was loading I realised this is a phishing email because of the date of shipment. I quickly closed the attachment and deleted the email. Rebooted the phone.

Now I know that with these virus infected attachments which are usually word or excel files they have the virus embedded in a macro. If you have your macros disabled by default in MS Office then there's no worry. But on a BlackBerry 10 device does docs to go support macros? And if so are they enabled at all times?

No, Docs 2 Go does not support Marcos.

A mobile device file system / OS is structured differently to that of a PC.

Therefore, even if Marcos was supported on a BlackBerry 10 device, or any other mobile device for that matter, Virus / Marcos enabled can not harm a mobile phone the same way it does on a PC.
