I recently was using the maps to get to a movie theatre. The maps app only knew about the old location of the theatre, not the new one. The theatre officially moved July 22 of this year. How often are the maps updated? Do we know? If there a way to get more up-to-date maps manually?

You may be better off using better software. BB relies on other companies to update their maps and it's fed from those servers. If the third parties are wrong, so are BB Maps.

I think it may be powered by TomTom, which updates every year.

In the UK, I use m8 which seems to be updated hourly. Bloody marvellous GPS/satnav.

My experience with the BlackBerry 10 map has not been stellar...hope they put tom tom to do better
