I love my Classic, we have few choices on Verizon. I also carry a DTEK50 on Consumer Cellular that uses AT&T towers.

The %d macro (Short Date) is STILL NOT implemented on the Android BB Keyboard. I take notes throughout the day in Evernote and don't like $D (Long Date).

The other feature that isn't quite as critical, but important to me is the way that BB10 displays my appointment reminders on top of everything else until I dismiss it. I can also snooze them all or individually and custom snooze each one. The latest BB Android calendar is better than before, but still not as "in your face" as BB10. I need "in your face" because otherwise I get busy and forget my next appointment.

I use MDaemon as my email server and the HUB refuses to work correctly with ActiveSync 14.1 protocol. I have not tried it with the last update, but it used to work originally, then stopped working for months now. ActiveSync 14.1 supports "notes" and works fine on BB10, iOS and even other apps on Android like "Tasks & Notes for MS Exchange" work correctly.

The Privacy Rape that is Android still bothers me too.

But I guess my question is why do others Not like BB10?

    The apps that Android offers?
It's gotta be the apps. BB10 is superior in every other way. And the app situation isn't even a problem for me. With a bit of work, and money to purchase native apps, there are a ton of great apps in the BlackBerry World. A lot of times they just aren't the big name apps that people are used to.

I agree, I have tons of apps from BlackBerry World.

To me, there is not one or ten apps that if my BlackBerry doesn't support, I'd give up BB10 for Android or iOS to get those apps.

Facebook or Twitter, if You have to have it, you don't need an app for it.

With all of the news about BlackBerry getting approved with the 10.3.3 for governments, I wish BlackBerry would build the BlackBerry Android plan they have set in motion and on the back burner keep BB10 devices for those that are loyal lovers of BlackBerry with BB10.

I'll keep dreaming. My Z10 lasted my for several years no issues. My AT&T Passport is so solid in build, I'm sure it will last for several years.

I just ordered a second AT&T Passport to have as backup just because I want to keep BB10 so badly.

There are couple reasons why I've continued to stay with BB10.

The first being security. I love picture password, charge only mode and the fact we now have NIAP. Blackberry makes me feel safe (whether its true or not is another conversation) and thats my i stay with their devices. Plus they have a lovely range of devices to choose from.

The second being the HUB. Now i know it's available on Android but its not good enough just yet and want to give it a little more time to mature and become as good as BB10.

The third thing is device options. I love both qwerty and full touch devices but if i had to put money down for a device, i would go with a qwerty. This meant when looking into the android world i only had 2 options. The PRIV and DTEK70.

Obviously the PRIV at $699 (launch) was a little more expensive than my $199 Blackberry Q5 haha so i couldn't switch just yet. but i was able to snag one for $299 so
come March 2017, i think its time to move over from BB10 to Android (Blackberry) and hopefully with Android N installed it will be a great experience.

Not really, people don't dislike BB10, they never knew that it even exists !

When carriers and phoneshops don't sell you anymore, and you don't make some ads, you cease to exist for the mass.

When other peoples see my Passport, they never ask about apps, instead they are surprise that BlackBerry still exists, that it still sells phone, that it changes it OS from BBOS to BB10, that it tries new form factors like the Passport.

And actually co-workers like it, when they see how easy I read and write emails, use calendar, take notes, read Office documents.

Passport + BB10 is a perfect mix for me. Sure, there are many things I cannot do (more by the day), but it is still the best for mobile work.

What in particular do you mean?

I have no problems with BB10 browser. I keep default browser set for mobile and Private Browser in desktop mode.

So if what I'm viewing in default doesn't display or function, I click open in Private Browser in the desktop mode.

I can't think of anything don't working properly. Do you have an example?

Only thing I dislike at times with the BB10 browser is the lag that sometimes appears when typing in some text boxes. Seen this happen on a few forums and facebook. It's just a minor annoyance though.

The form factor. I've never found a phone with a form factor I enjoy using as consistently as the Bold and Classic form factor. Other than that the OS does what I need it to. I have the social media apps I need and the browser takes care of all my other needs. On top of that it is great for calling and texting (the keyboard) which are important to me.

I know I'll have to move on eventually but for now the OS is very stable and is doing everything I need it to do. I genuinely enjoy using the phone.

If you have an email that requires follow up, but you know that you are too busy to get to it, just flag it.

Then open remember app, select "tasks" and "flagged messages" and set the date and exact reminder time you want. You can also rename the task of needed and the email relevant to the specific task is conveniently linked at the bottom of the task.

This saved me over the last 2 years from being one of those people that always forgets tasks when too busy..

OS is best cause of gestures, stability, and ability to run two types of apps, others can't say that.

Access to file manager over wifi without an app or connection to computer is best benefit ever! Other os don't even have the option while still not being able to mess up os.

Sleek look, others look kiddish or cluttered.

Best features out of the box WITHOUT multiple apps needed to do them, e.g. zip files, pdf viewer, camera video editing, multiple calendars, multiple email.

The hub, nothing else needed to be said about this, really.

The browser and the ability to see full Web pages and mobile made pages.

All the stuff the flocks don't seem to know about cause of hopping on the status train!

I've decided to go down the 2 phone route. A BlackBerry Q5 for most things I do, and a cheap Moto 3G for when I really need an app that won't run on BB10 Android runtime. I have a pristine Q10 and Z10 that should go on for a long while yet or until the Q5 packs in. Nothing else I've tried beats the fluidity of the BB10 OS and those little things that matter such as gesture interface, file system browser, Bluetooth aptX, the awesome hub.

And by work you really mean emails. Because specialised apps are absent from bb10.
