Still your receiving device has to support this too!

A lot of devices supports this codec. Smartphones and Tablets with aptX� from HTC, Samsung, Sharp

True but at least it's there for devices that do have it. Every little helps.

It depends largely on the bluetooth audio device as to whether it makes any significant difference or not.

Channel your audio through a little 3 Watt speaker and you'll likely notice nothing, regardless of whether aptx is used, or not.

...but stick an aptx Bluetooth audio receiver into a decent hifi, and I'm pretty confident you will.

Yes, it's nice that BB10 devices have this.

AptX has been part of BlackBerry OS10 since at least 10.2.1 it's worth having.
Some/not all android devices support it too.
Apple favour wifi streaming
