Like on any other smarthphone, BB10 must MUST have the ability to check wich apps are consuming data and total usage of your monthly data

I'm sure an app will come out with that capability soon. I would pay for that. Just used 400 MB today and I barely even used my phone!

Use your carrier bb10 app in the meantime.

Funny you should bring this up....i asked this very same question to the computer geek in the family. The response I got was...in theory of course, is that feature may no longer be necessary given the new QNX and micro kernel architecture. At which point I started to doze off, eyes started to glaze over....zzzz...

I would like this feature as well...but as well, have some sort of summary that shows data usage by app, even though it's off or running in the background.

What are you guys doing with your phones lol. My wifi at home is not working so I've been using my phone and I am barely over 1gb so far into this month. And I do watch videos, teether my laptop etc.
Granted I have a 12gb + 3 gb (bis) plan from long time ago... but I don't think I've ever went anywhere near that limit!

The fact is that this information is available on iOS and Android phones. It's useful information, and I'd like it to be available on my phone, too.

Possibly, with the advent of "headless" apps we'll get this.

I agree, BlackBerry has to keep pace with the ios and android features to stay competitive.

There's currently no public BB10 API or QNX hack to achieve this, I hope they'll add the feature in 10.2.

For now, you can track your data consumption with Data Usage Counter app available on BlackBerry World

Unfortunately not. I believe the culprit is Go Music but I'm not sure yet. That's why I need something like this.

Thing is that my carrier offers 550MB/month until they decide to offer more (is sad I know) so I need to keep record of which app is killing my mb... or at least to know how much they consume in the background
