Rebooted my phone on 100% brightness and it went real bright. Since shutting off the screen, it's now gone back to the auto brightness crap and dimmed the phone.

Seriously the auto brightness crap should be toggable on like BBOS.

I don't want the phone auto dimming itself on 100% brightness

Absolutely 1000% agree! Why the heck doesn't BlackBerry give the user the option to disable this annoying feature. Like they did with BlackBerry tablet/playbook OS. Seems to be a classic case of BlackBerry knowing whats best for the end user. Huge fail BlackBerry! Keep up the bad work.

Well, I like it. And it's way better than the crap I had to our up with on iOS. My only complaint is that the screen diesn't get dim enough on the Z30.

So go to settings an adjust the brightness. Just tap the little sun next to the word Brightness and slide the button.

there is no way to switch it off, even if you set it manually. see this article for more info

im guessing they did it cos the already mediocre battery life on the Z10 would be truly crap if they didnt.
