If this is what you are saying, then I feel motivated to prove that BB10 "can" indeed do this. I would have to defer to your assertion for the moment, though, because you have more experience than I do and I have no proof or prior work to support the idea that I can write even a simple app.
I will try to come up with something to see if my faith and admiration for BB10 yields one more example showing that, BlackBerry did indeed cram a desktop OS into a phone.
Again, i'm not saying you're wrong. I agree that BlackBerry placed limitations on what user apps can do. I even read a thread on the discontinued dev forums where a BlackBerry dev had to authorize more system memory to a particular dev whose app needed it.
I'm just saying, it's something I'd enjoy looking into. See you in a year or three... or maybe sooner since you're probably right. lol.
